Faculty Video: the Night of Philosophy & Ideas

Through the waning hours of Saturday night, January 27th, and into the golden dawn of Sunday morning, January 28th, members of the BISR faculty participated in the fourth-annual Night of Philosophy & Ideas, an all-night marathon of philosophical debate, performances, screenings, readings, and music co-presented by the Brooklyn Public Library and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy. Happily, the contributions of Raphaële Chappe, Ajay Singh Chaudhary, Samantha Hill, and Rebecca Ariel Porte “did not go gentle into that good night,”* but were captured on video for posterity:

Raphaële Chappe: We’re all Entrepreneurs Now: Risk in the Neoliberal Age

Ajay Singh Chaudhary: Revolutionary Subjects: What is Mass Politics Today?

Samantha Hill (and others): A Symposium on Love
[COMING SOON!]

Rebecca Ariel Porte: The Golden Age

*Do not go gentle into that good night, Dylan Thomas (1952)
