BISR Members Cocktail Party: Living in the Beast

Though it’s hard to believe given the snow piles, spring is just around the corner! We’ll be leaning into the new season with a members cocktail party on Tuesday, March 31 at 7pm at BISR Central in Dumbo (68 Jay Street #425).

Our theme for the evening will be New York City real estate in all its infamy and glory, using clips from William H. Whyte’s cult classic The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces, recently restored by Anthology Film Archives, as a jumping off point for discussion. Faculty including Andy Battle, Isi Litke, and Suzanne Schneider will be in attendance to offer historical perspective, aesthetic criticism, and rental horror stories, served up alongside themed cocktails and light snacks.

Members Cocktail Parties take place biannually and are open to BISR members of every level, from Iron to Philosopher; if you aren’t already, become a member today—then kindly RSVP below.
