James Wagner

James C. Wagner is a translator of several works of contemporary German philosophy and literary scholarship and has worked as a German language instructor for the better part of two decades. He earned his Ph.D. at New York University having successfully defended his dissertation on Thomas Mann’s Reflections of an Un-Political Man and its anticipatory relation to both Schmittian politics and Critical Theory. Research/teaching interests include the philosophical, literary, and psychoanalytic reception of the First World War; theories of the novel; and the diaspora of Critical Theory.
