Jamie Parra

Jamie Parra is a PhD candidate in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, where he studies and writes about 19th- and 20th-century American Literature, slavery, narrative theory, and sexuality studies.  He is completing a dissertation entitled “Prisoners of Style: Slavery, Ethics, and the Lives of American Literary Characters.”
