Michael Stone-Richards
Michael Stone-Richards is currently Chair of the Committee on Critical Studies and Professor in the College for Creative Studies in Detroit where he teaches Critical Theory and Critical Studies. He is completing a book on social and spatial practices called Care of the City: Ruination, Abandonment, and Hospitality in Contemporary Practice. An earlier book Logics of Separation is a set of close readings of Paul Celan, Frantz Fanon, Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, and the Sorrow Songs (Negro Spirituals) as poetic experience. He is also the founding editor of the journal Detroit Research. His work on the history and theory of the avant-garde has appeared in English and French in many venues.
