10th Anniversary Institute Social
635 Sackett Street
Brooklyn, NY 11217
Eat, drink, sing, and socialize, as we celebrate 10 years of critical, community-based education in the public sphere!
With 10 years in the books, Brooklyn Institute for Social Research warmly invites you to our 10th Anniversary Institute Social! Join us, Saturday, June 4th, for an evening of great food, open bar, faculty lightning lectures, and, if you dare, karaoke. Tickets can be had at a variety of levels—please choose the ticket option that feels right for you. All proceeds help support Brooklyn Institute’s core operations, as well as our many public initiatives, such as: dozens of free public events; our podcasts and multi-media projects; BISR Praxis, connecting critical learning with front-line activism; Educator Access, providing grants and learning opportunities for teachers; our scholarship fund, which provides pay-what-you-can scholarships in every BISR course for over 10% of our student body; and much more!
Your support is vital, not only to our ability to offer a multitude of programs and projects, but also to maintaining BISR as a functioning, and growing, institution–to keeping the lights on, for the last 10 years, the next 10 years, and beyond!
