As part of the Marx Now series of events, Goethe-Institut New York, Rosa-Luxemburg Stiftung, and the Brooklyn Institute for Social Reserach are hosting a free screening of The Young Karl Marx, Raoul Peck’s bio-pic of the 26-year-old Marx as he flees political repression, meets Friedrich Engels, and helps found the international socialist movement. Following the film, BISR faculty Ajay Singh Chaudhary, Rebecca Ariel Porte, and Anthony Alessandrini will take the stage to talk about the film and conduct an audience Q&A. The Young Karl Marx is part of Marx Now, a three-week series of events, including Marx Now: A Symposium, organized by Goethe-Institut New York in partnership with Anthology Film Archives and the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research.
