COVID-19, Social Distancing, and Supporting BISR

Dear Students, Alumni, and Friends,

Like many universities and colleges, BISR has moved all of our courses online as of this week. And, like other major cultural institutions, from the MET to the Guggenheim to the New York Philharmonic, we are cancelling events for at least the next month. However, unlike universities or major institutions, we cannot rely on support from large endowments, major foundation resources, or state backers, none of which we have! BISR depends on you, our students and supporters.

And we need you now.

In circumstances such as these, organizations like ours, which are dedicated to a life lived more abundantly with social connection, are hit particularly hard. If you are someone who can support BISR through donation or membership at any level, we absolutely need your support. If you are considering an April course, please enroll. If you can do both that’s amazing! If you can do some or none of the above please share this information with your networks.  In any case, we deeply appreciate your support for BISR.

We remain dedicated to every aspect of our project; and we stand in solidarity with everyone doing what they can to make this situation work to the best of all our capacities.

Thank you for reading and for your continued support as we facilitate critical education and scholarship in the 21st century.

All the best,

Ajay Singh Chaudhary
Executive Director

(And all of BISR.)
